Total peace-of-mind with our Managed Disaster Recovery Solution.
In the past, simply backing up the servers nightly to tape or disk was considered to be a suitable DR plan but these days particularly with threats from viruses, your data is at risk and legacy backup products simply aren’t sufficient for many organisations.
Having a well-defined Disaster Recovery plan with appropriate Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) to know how long it will take to be back up and running and from what point in time is essential for any organisation.
With many industry governing bodies stipulating what is acceptable for these objectives, DR is now more important than ever.
Lloyds IP provide various options for DR via our Managed SecurCloud product. With solutions focusing on image based backups that can be restored immediately to any hardware. These images are taken regularly (normally on the hour) and are stored on either a server (ideally) or Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. This allows us to recover data very quickly and, if using a server with enough resources, we can use the image files to “turn on” the backed up server using virtualisation within a very short period of time.
Additionally, the image files can be replicated to the Lloyds IP data centre so that there is no need take tapes or disks offsite so that you have peace of mind your DR solution is working for you should a disaster happen.
